Dear Emma, we are so very grateful to you! Our two and a half year old daughter went from being scared to death of the water to swimming like a fish. I saw immediate progress the minute you started to work with Chloé and it is no exaggeration when I tell all your potential clients that our daughter was swimming within 2 weeks of starting your lessons. The only problem I have now is that I can't get her out of the water! I wish we had used you for our older daughters lessons too... That would have saved us a lot of money and headache! Your lessons are worth every penny and you truly are the best! I can't thank you enough!!!

Emma, you're a "Diamond in the Rough"!! Truly...I'm so grateful to the "forward" we got years ago, about ISR and you! As a mother whose review I just read, at the time we started, Samantha, 4 1/2 (who'd been in the water from the age of 5 months), was grabbing onto me and terrified of drowning, while her 2 1/2 yr old sister, Ciara, was trying to dive off the water's edge (and did not have the slightest idea what she'd do after that)! It was a nerve-wrecking experience for me to go with them to the pool at that time!
And what frustrated me the most about that, is that they'd both had swim lessons by the time they were both 6 months old. However, they hadn't learned survival skills and I certainly wasn't confident that they'd survive in the water 30 seconds in the event of a mishap at a friend's pool or nearby lake, etc...And then we found you!!
Well as you know, the girls, 7 1/2 and 5 ½ now, are little “fish”! Both swim team material (wish we could have gotten into the New Tampa Swim team you recommended this summer, but they were full)! They both love getting your refresher lessons and especially loved their stroke lessons this past summer! Wish we could have kept coming, but you know how it is (thanks for being so good to us)!
Well then, as if you hadn't already proved your weight in gold to us...you took my non-swimmer nephew, Nathaniel (6 1/2) this summer and turned him into a swim-survival-jellyfish in less than 2 weeks!!! That kid was trembling whenever we asked him to come to the pool, cried if we went to the edge of the shore at the beach and grabbed onto anything he could when we took him in with us! Now, he cries when we tell him it's time to go!! Since I'm often with all 3 of them, it feels good to be able to take them all to the pool and know that they have what it takes to be confident swimmers!!
Since 2008, I've told all my friends (and even strangers) about the ISR and our experiences with you and will continue to spread the word! You’ve got 3 fans for life (and their believing and grateful parents, of course)!!

...and may I add that Miss Emma really "reads" your child and puts effort into working with their specific personality. I'm sure there are many challenges to her because of the young ages but it is a wonderful thing to watch! Thank you again Miss Emma, you have two lives safer because of a skill learned!

What a wonderful program and great teacher!! I was hesitant to do this program for several reasons, but am pleased to tell you it is worth it and a great idea!
My two daughters 4 & 2 approached the water very differently. The oldest wanted no water in her face and was timid with trying anything out of her comfort zone + water wings. The 2 yr old was a go getter and wanted to dive in and play, but had no safety or swimming ability! They both took lessons from Miss Emma finishing last month and WOW! The week after lessons we went to the beach and they were happy, waves and all, floating, playing, swimming!!! My 4yr old proudly declares herself a "fish" and wants to swim everyday! She tries new things all the time including going down a small slide at the Grandparent's pool and diving! Our 2 yr old is now rightfully confident in the water swimming well and happily! THANK YOU SO MUCH MISS EMMA! You have given me not only peace-of-mind but the ability to enjoy my family this summer!! : )

Emma has been a wonderful teacher to both of my sons. Andrew (5 years old) came in with a total fear of water and as a complete non swimmer. In 3 weeks, Emma had Andrew swimming, floating and perfecting his strokes. He loves the water now and tells me everyday how excited he is to go to the pool and swim. Daniel (3 years old) also came in as non swimmer. After the 3 weeks he is swimming, floating and jumping into the water without any fear. As a mom I love the fact that my children are so much more comfortable in water and know the skills to survive if they ever fall into the pool. I am extremely impressed with all of the skills the boys have learned and I will recommend Ms. Emma to all of my family and friends.

We invested in our children this summer by enrolling them in ISR classes with Mrs. Emma. I was in awe of her flexibilty in working with the different personalities of each child and tayloring the lessons to their specific needs. My 3 year old and 22 month old are now confident in the water and my mind is at ease. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend Mrs. Emma and ISR to anyone with small children. Thanks so much Mrs. Emma!

Emma is God sent. My daughter Cassie, who is now 10 and my son Dominic who is 3, both learned how to swim with Emma. Emma makes swimming fun at the same time takes it very seriously. After spending a few months with Emma and with the help of Emma, Cassie joined the TBAY Tampa Palms Team. She has been on the team for a year now and could possibly go to Junior Olympics come summer of next year. The skills she learned from Emma allowed her to swim competively right away with kids who have been on the team for a year or two and coming very close to their times. My son started swimming with Emma at 22 months, still enjoys swimming and I am not at all worried about him drowning because he was taught well. I am grateful to have met her and would highly recommend her to all mothers. She works with all sorts of infants, toddlers and adolescents regardless of their character and personality, she is capable of bringing out the best in them and build their self-confidence.

We have a pool at home with no fence and I was so scared my son would fall in, I decided to have him learn to swim with Emma.
It was the best thing I have done for him, not only can he now swim, but he can float. I am so much more relaxed around the pool with him now and we can enjoy the water together, instead of me being totally paranoid and not allowing him around the pool or worse, following him around the pool.
Emma is a great teacher and is very thorough, I totally trust her opinion and I know she will get the job done.
I am so happy we did this, it is the best gift anyone can give a child. I highly recommend her.

My 6 year old was a total non-swimmer and refused to go in the water without a float and going under was out of the question. By his second lesson with Emma he was willingly putting his face in the water and by the end of his second week was jumping into the pool and swimming on his own! I was so nervous to start these lessons with him because he was so reluctant to do anything in the water, but now he is excited to go, and LOVES swimming. Emma is an amazing instructor, and my husband and I are so thankful we found her, because we not only know our son will be safe around water, but because of her instruction he has found something he loves doing.

ISR + Miss Emma = Amazing!
I have had two children complete three seasons of ISR and I can tell you it has made a huge difference in our lives! My husband and I saw the milestones our children made at each season and continue to recommend it to all our friends.
Dont be fooled - swim lessons are dandy but they are nothing compared to SURVIVAL lessons. Miss Emma has the right mix of care and persistence with the children.

My son started lessons with Ms. Emma when he was 8 months old - she was able to teach him to float before he was able to walk. This summer, when he was 21 months, he returned to learn the swim-float-swim sequence.
I take him to our community pool daily and everyone is always amazed to see the baby swim. He has a love of the water that is possible because he has the skills and knowledge that were provided during ISR lessons.

ISR Swim Lessons have made a huge impact in our lives. My 2 year-old son was a non-swimmer when we started lessons and in five weeks, he was confident and comfortable in the pool. He now swims and loves the water. I would recommend these lessons to anyone who has a young child. Ms. Emma has provided us with such a gift. She is making a huge difference with young children in the Tampa area. I am so glad thankful that we chose ISR and Ms. Emma!

Living in Florida and not knowing how to swim is not an option. We moved to Tampa 1 year ago and it was few weeks when I finally contacted Emma for swim lessons and boy was I glad. After her 10th lesson my daughter was in the pool with her friends trying to show off her skill, and while trying to get out of the pool she stumbled and fell in the shallow. For a second my instinct was to run and help her, but before I could do or say anything I saw her floating on her back and then flip back to swim to the edge. Few minutes later she was getting her toys when she fell in the deep end, now I was really scared but she, very confidently, swam to the edge and was very happy. I know I was right there to help but there are some unfortunate times when we are not looking for a second and that is enough to cause a mishap. I am glad we took classes with Emma, she is an excellent and extraordinary instructor. My daughter is now swimming like a pro and knows she has to do her swim-float-swim, no matter what. Thanks Emma, Thanks ISR.

This summer I signed both girls for stroke lesson with Emma, and have just been amazed by how well they did.

I started my son in ISR lessons with Miss Emma when he was 9 months old. I second guessed my decision with every lesson as he did not seem to enjoy the lessons and cried at each lesson. However, now, at 18 months old, I can't keep him out of the pool. All the things he "hated" during lessons, he is not only great at, but enjoys it! At a recent party he was doing the swim/float/swim sequence just to show off. Best of all, I know have peace of mind knowing he knows how to handle himself in the water - between holding his breath the minute his head goes under, floating and swimming to the wall of the pool. Thanks Miss Emma! I highly recommend this program to anyone with infants and toddlers.

I LOVE ISR & MISS EMMA!! My oldest son, Luke, had a near drowning experience when he was 3 1/2. We were swimming at my friends' neighborhood pool when it happened. He had been wearing floaties, and had taken them off when he got out of the pool to eat lunch. His little friend threw one of his floaties over the fence. I told Luke not to get back into the pool until I got it. I turned my back to Luke to answer my friend's question. When I turned back around he was completely submerged in the water. He had walked down the stairs of the pool not realizing that the water would go over his head without floaties on. I jumped into the pool, and rescued him. Luckily, he was OK physically, but emotionally he was traumatized & so was I. It happened so quickly, and I was right there.
We moved to FL a couple of months later, and after getting settled, I enrolled him at a swim school that I had heard good things about. I told them about his near drowning experience, and that he was terrified of the water. The first lesson consisted of the teacher having Luke go under the water over and over. When she brought him to me, he was hysterically crying saying that he NEVER wanted to go swimming again. She said, "He did so much better this lesson". I looked right at her, and said, "This was his first lesson". You should have seen the look on her face. I called the school to tell them what happened, and they apologized profusely. They put him with a different instructor for the remainder of the course, and she was nice, but Luke pretty much just learned to blow bubbles in the water - a total waste of my time and money.
Then a friend of mine told me about ISR. I signed Luke & my daughter Ava(2 years old) up with Miss Emma, and in 3 days Luke was swimming to the wall by himself with confidence. My husband and I couldn't believe our eyes.
Luke, now 6 years old, just finished taking stroke lessons with Miss Emma, and she said that he has a natural talent for swimming. I honestly can't believe that two years ago he was terrified of swimming, and now he loves it.
My son, Zachary, will be finishing his ISR lessons tomorrow. He is 2 years old.
I am so thankful for the ISR program, and for Miss Emma. It has been such a blessing to my family.

Miss Emma has been teaching my daughter Grace to survive in water ever since she was 11 months old. In 4 weeks of Miss Emma's training, Grace knew how to save her self in water. It was amazing to watch how quickly Miss Emma transformed her behaviour from fear of water to comfort in water.
Miss Emma works with her student children very calmly and lovingly. I completely trust her and Grace's survival skills and love for water is result of Miss Emma's teaching.
I can't say enough thanks to Miss Emma for what she has given to my daughter.

Emma did a fantastic job teaching my 22 month old daughter to float! Like all mothers, the thought of my child falling into water terrified me. Now, I am still just as diligent in my supervision, but I have a reassuring confidence that if she fell in water, she could float until I could retrieve her. It only takes a minute for a child to drown. The ISR technique buys you that time to get to your child.

He is more confident with his swimming. I fully recommend this course with this instructor to all parents. Don't wait until it's to late, Thinking that drowning only happens to other children. I personally have friend's that thought that also. Their child drowned because they kept putting it off. Please get your children into these classes.

We love Infant Swimming Resource and Emma! A friend of mine signed her daughter up for lessons with Emma and I decided to wait. My 2 year old wasnt interested in swimming so I thought, "Why should I give him lessons if he's not interested" A month later he fell into our pool! He was trying to fill up a water toy, like his big brothers. I was right there and immediatley jumped in but it was a horrible experience, just to see his little face desperately looking up at me! The next day I called Emma! It is amazing to see your little one swim! Emma is so patient and understands my child. My husband was able to witness a lesson and he was amazed. I looked back at him and he had tears in his eyes. There is something about watching a child so young, learn to save himself and at the same time be so proud! We are not finished with Emma but I already know my results will be positive.

A great swim instructor. I would highly recommend for any young child learning about water safety. This is a great way to start swim lessons with a young toddler. My son started last summer (2 1/2 years old) with Emma and quickly learned to survive in the water and gain confidence to swim with his head under water to the wall. This summer we took refresher lessons at the beginning of the summer (3 1/2 years old) and is swimming all over the pool like a fish! I strongly recommed Emma for her patience and ability to teach young children the fundamentals of water safety.

Before this class she would only stand on the steps of a pool and would refuse to go under water. Now my daughter is almost finished with her class after three and a half weeks. Emma taught her the swim float swim technique. When you watch this technique it makes so much since. I feel so relieved that my daughter might have a chance if she falls in the water. My daughter has fallen in the water and it is so scarey because no one can hear your child when they are struggling under water.
